An Eventful Day

 Today was quite the day! I'll start at the very beginning, a very good place to start. 

In the morning, Kayla left for school. Dad had to drive her and Hannah because Mom, Sam, and Lucy left for Mimi and Pop's! They left a little before 9 and had a safe trip! Lucy texted Kayla quite a lot during the ride. They arrived safely and were glad to see the family. They played pool, 5 Crowns, and the Wii. They are all enjoying themselves, but we will be glad to be reunited on Thursday.

Kayla went to cross country practice after school where she had a nice 40 minute run. She had to run on her own because McKenna and Hannah were aqua-jogging and Summer has begun to run with Cadence, so Kayla does not currently have a group who is her pace. It was still a successful run despite the heat. After the run, they did strength and stretched down. Kara was very kind and brought Kayla home because Hannah was getting picked up from the CAC at 4:15 and XC didn't end until 4:50. 

Kayla and Kara went to Michael's on the way home to look at the scrapbooks in preparation for the senior gifts. It was a nice trip. But then it turned chaotic! Kayla left her phone in Kara's truck! She was stumped on how in the world she would communicate with Kara to let her know that she had her phone. Then it hit her, she could call Mom on Dad's phone and get Mom to call Kenna and get Kenna to call Kara! The fool proof plan worked and soon Kayla had her phone back. 

This all took place before 5:30. At 5:45, Kayla left the house yet again for lacrosse practice. Lacrosse was pretty good, they did shooting drills, passing, ground balls, sprints, and more! Kayla even got hit in the mouth! Finally at 7:45, Kayla arrived back home and took a shower and then had some dinner.

Dad is currently working on the church bulletin and who knows where Jack is. Perhaps RUF or Seth's house. 

In other news, Lucy has spotted a bee in the house at Mimi and Pop's! Hopefully no one gets stung.

Fancy Shmancy

  Today's Sunday started off like you would expect, with church! It was inside today but hopefully it will be outside again next week. Mom, Kayla, and Dad went to church in the morning and then the rest of the kids and Mom and Dad went in the afternoon.  For brunch, Mom made waffles. Waffles have begun to be a common Sunday brunch especially since Mom got a new waffle maker for Christmas that makes 2 at a time! For youth group at Belmont, it was "Fancy" night! That meant that everyone dressed up! It was lots of fun, at the beginning it was like a dance and the whole sanctuary was cleared and there were disco lights and music! It was a blast. The point of Fancy night was to talk about what's on the outside. The Pharisees had it all together and looked great on the outside, but on the inside, they didn't have the right view of Jesus and were hypocrites. Afterwards, Kayla went to Olive Garden with some of her friends! That was also a ton of fun. Here are some pics:

Saturdayyy

  Today the Briz's came over to hang out. They played pickleball, read Curious George, and had Kraft macaroni and cheese.  Sam and Lucy both had soccer games! Thankfully the rain held off until afterwards.  Jack was kind and helped carry a chair. Kayla ran and also went and borrowed a dress from Kenna.  Mom and Dad both went on a run before it got to hot. I must say, these blog posts aren't as eventful as they used to be. We have some exciting events coming up in the next week that will be more interesting!

Frigid Friday

Today was a peaceful day with a few events throughout. The temperature is very frigid for this time of year! It was in the 30s! It is also Good Friday and so we went to church for a short service with singing and some Bible reading.  Mom went to the store and ran a few errands. Sam is going to Luke's house for a sleepover tonight to celebrate Luke's birthday! Sam also played the Nintendo Switch today. Lucy enjoyed a peaceful day, played Sleeping Queens with Kayla, and did Bible study with Mom. Jack has a soccer game this evening. Kayla went to the old Blacksburg track to do a workout with Hannah in these frigid temperatures. Dad led the church service and then went to work.  Yesterday was April 1, otherwise known as "April Fools Day". Jack started off the day strong by filling Nathan's car with multiple bags of rice.
